DENVER – Several Colorado cities have made a list of the fastest-growing communities in the United States.
The list, from financial services website WalletHub, ranked cities in three groups based on size – small, midsize and large – as well as an overall ranking. The analysis looked at data from 2011 to 2017.
Colorado’s largest city, Denver, was ranked 34th fastest-growing overall but when looking only at large cities (those with more than 300,000 residents), the Mile High City came in at number five. Austin was named the fastest-growing big city, followed by Miami, Seattle and Charlotte.
Here are the fastest-growing large cities, according to WalletHub:

3. Seattle, WA
4. Charlotte, NC
5. Denver, CO
6. Fort Worth, TX
7. Henderson, NV
8. Nashville, TN
9. San Francisco, CA
10. Atlanta, GA
In the overall ranking, Loveland and Greeley both ranked higher than Denver, coming in at numbers 22 and 26, respectively. Fort Myers, Florida was named the fastest-growing overall.

Other Colorado cities that made the top 100 on the overall list included Arvada (72), Centennial (75), Aurora (76) and Thornton (79).
