DENVER – Colorado is known for being pioneers in the cannabis business, and one Denver company made its way onto the red carpet Sunday night to showcase its product.
“Colorado is like the silicon valley of the marijuana business,” said Marke Grindeland, the founder and CEO of Coda Signature. “Coda is a cannabis-infused premium based brand.”
Coda is an innovator when it comes to the craft of edibles. Their products can be found in 600 dispensaries in Colorado.
“We certainly have our roots in Colorado,” Grindeland said.
The company is starting to make its way into another state.
“We are soon making our way into California,” Grindeland said.
Sunday night was a huge night for Coda and Colorado because it had a box featured in the 2019 Oscar gift bag.
“So what we wanted to do was find a platform that we could associate ourselves with to create brand awareness, and the tie-in with the Oscars have exceeded our expectations,” Grindeland said.
The box contains a good amount of Coda’s signature products, including bath bombs, which does not contain THC. However, the actors can order some online with a special code provided in the bag that will be cannabis-infused.
“We secured a facility in California last year,” Grindeland said. “And we will be rolling out this spring. Adult use became legal in California one year ago, so it’s really taking off right now.”
