Injuries reported after small plane crashes into vehicle on Maryland highway

BOWIE, Md. — Maryland State Police and the Prince George's County Fire Department are on the scene of a small plane crash on eastbound Route 50 near Bowie.

Investigators believe the pilot misjudged a landing, causing it to crash into at least one vehicle.

There were reportedly two people in the plane and vehicle at the time of the crash. None of the injuries are being considered serious at this time.

Two left lanes on the eastbound side and one lane on the westbound side of Route 50 at Church Road are currently shut down.
