A memorial service is set to be held in the Staples Center on Feb. 24 to remember Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles Times reported , citing two sources.

The memorial is expected to be open to the public, but that entry is expected to be restricted. The Staples Center has a capacity of 20,000.

The Times reported that the Staples Center memorial will cap off a week of remembrances of the NBA legend, who won five NBA titles as a member of the Lakers.

The Staples Center has hosted a number of memorial services in the past, most notably for musicians Michael Jackson and Nipsey Hussle.

Bryant and his daughter Gianna were among nine people who died on a helicopter crash en route to a youth basketball tournament in Southern California last week. A cause of the crash has not been released, but a preliminary report is expected in the coming days.
