SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. – A skier was killed after crashing with a tree at Breckenridge Ski Resort Thursday, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of the crash at around 9:50 a.m. on Peak 8.
The skier was taken to the Peak 8 First Aid Room where he was later pronounced dead.
The identity of the skier won’t be released until family members have been notified.
The Summit County Coroner’s Office has taken over the investigation.
