BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. -- Two out-of-state men who went camping in the Colorado mountains had to be rescued after they got lost in the snow.

The men, from Florida and Louisiana, arrived in Boulder Monday and hiked to Jasper Lake, in the Indian Peaks Wilderness near Eldora.

"A storm came in, creating snowy conditions and they started to hike out, accidently going off trail and were lost," the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said the men called 911.

Two other campers in the area found the men and helped them until rescuers arrived, deputies said.

The lost hikers were escorted out by rescuers.

They were not hurt.
