TELLURIDE, Colo. -- Dozens of people stood on the Colorado Avenue in downtown Telluride and watched an avalanche at the end of the box canyon.
A helicopter dropped bombs on the slopes of Ajax Mountain, one of Telluride's iconic peaks, causing two snow slides Thursday.
The video starts just after the bombs were dropped. You can see the avalanches starting about 30 seconds into the video.

For those who have been to Telluride, you may be able to spot Bridal Veil Road in the avalanche path.
The road is closed in winter, but Visit Telluride said, "crews might have to clear the road of avalanche debris (trees, huge chunks of snow, etc) in the spring."
