'Wicked,' 'Cats,' 'Xanadu' and more: Denver Center for the Performing Arts releases 2018-19 schedule

DENVER - Get ready for some hit musicals.

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts on Monday released its schedule of shows for the 2018-2019 Broadway and cabaret season and it includes some recent hits and popular classics.

The season kicks off with the national tour launch of "Dear Evan Hansen," which won six 2017 Tony awards, including best musical.

Other shows on the upcoming schedule include "Rock of Ages," "Hello, Dolly!," "Cats," "Wicked," "Fiddler on the Roof," and "Xanadu" (yes, that's a stage musical based on the Olivia Newton-John cult classic film).
