ELBERT COUNTY, Colo. – A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect for several Colorado counties until 8 p.m.
Counties in the watch area include:
- Elbert
- Lincoln
- Douglas
A tornado warning was issued for Elbert County, southeast of Denver, as storms began developing across the area on Friday afternoon. That warning was allowed to expire.
Rotation was detected on radars southeast of Elizabeth in Elbert County, and heavy hail was moving through the area. Here's a 3:30 p.m. update on the storms, from meteorologist Stacey Donaldson:
