DILLON, Colo. — Presale ticket vouchers for Ice Castles, a family friendly winter wonderland experience in Dillon, went on sale on Dec. 7, but fewer vouchers were available this year due to capacity restrictions. General admission tickets will become available Friday.
On Dec. 7, Ice Castles announced that presale ticket vouchers were officially on sale for the 2020-2021 season. General tickets will go on sale on the morning of Dec. 18 on the Ice Castles website. The company had previously announced that it planned to open in December with limited capacity due to COVID-19.
On Dec. 17, they announced Ice Castles would open to the public at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19.
The company said they expect the vouchers and tickets to sell out fast due to the limitations.
"A very limited number of presale vouchers are available due to capacity restrictions," the company said.
Beginning on the morning of Dec. 7, the public could purchase presale ticket vouchers to be later redeemed for a date and time of their choice. People who purchased the presale vouchers received an email before tickets went on sale to the general public with a VIP link and instructions on how to pick a date and time.
The vouchers were available at the weekend general admission price of $22.99 for all ages. Click here to purchase a voucher or to learn more.
This year, the Ice Castles will operate at a reduced capacity to promote social distancing. Tunnels and crawl spaces will be marked as one-way features. All staff and guests will be required to wear a face covering.
Despite the pandemic, the wintry experience will still offer the illuminated frozen walls, ice slides, crawl spaces, caves and fountains that it has always featured.
By driving on Interstate 70, Dillon is about an hour and 20 minutes from Denver.
This marks the fourth season for Ice Castles in Dillon.
