A 15-year-old died in a rollover crash early Monday on Interstate 70 and authorities suspect the driver of the car, a 17-year-old, may have been under the influence at the time.
Master Trooper Gary Cutler with Colorado State Patrol said the crash occurred at 1:54 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near Smith Road near Aurora.
A 15-year-old boy died at the scene, he said. Two others were transported to a hospital.
The driver is a 17-year-old. Cutler said they suspect the driver was under the influence.
Eastbound I-70 was closed for several hours early Monday for the investigation. It reopened at 5:23 a.m.
No other details were available Monday morning.
