1. Trump, Putin to meet again
President Trump plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Washington, DC in the fall. Trump has faced criticism from both sides of the aisle following his meeting with Putin in Helsinki and his repeated statements that contradict U.S. intelligence agencies' conclusions about Russia meddling in the 2016 election.
2. Aurora theater shooting anniversary
Today marks six years since the mass shooting at a movie theater in Aurora that left 12 people dead and dozens more injured. A candlelight vigil shortly after midnight paid tribute to those lost.
3. Multiple dead in Missouri boat crash
A duck boat capsized and sank during a severe thunderstorm in Missouri, killing at least 13 people, some of them children, authorities said. Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader said 31 people were aboard the boat during Thursday night's incident on Table Rock Lake near Branson.
4. VA hospital ribbon-cutting this weekend
The long-overdue VA hospital in Aurora will finally hold a ribbon-cutting this weekend. It's been nine years since construction crews broke ground on the facility, which is nearly $1 billion over budget.
