WELD COUNTY, Colo. — Two people died after a Wednesday morning crash involving a train and semi in Weld County.
The collision occurred near U.S. Route 85 and CO-60 at 8:19 a.m., said Trooper Gary Cutler with Colorado Highway Patrol. The trailer had been carrying windows.
No other information on the crash was available.
The northbound and southbound lanes of U.S. Route 85 were closed for several hours. The southbound lanes reopened around 10:50 a.m. Weld County Road 38 is still closed in the area. Authorities have set up a local detour for drivers.
