Police have arrested a man on a first-degree murder charge in connection with a deadly shooting in Pueblo.

Ricky Muniz, 32, was killed outside his home on Sept. 14. Officials say he heard someone spray painting the building and went outside to confront the taggers. Police say the tags and the shooting are gang-related.

Timothy Leroy Tafoya, 21, was arrested Saturday, the Pueblo Chieftain reports.

Tafoya is being held without bail in the Pueblo County jail.

Booking documents do not indicate if Tafoya has hired an attorney.
