DENVER, Colo. — A new survey by the Business Journals found Denver is the least interested in Amazon's HQ2. Only 16 percent of those surveyed in Denver believe our area needs the jobs Amazon would bring, according to the survey.

Amazon says HQ2 would benefit small businesses but the survey shows only a small percentage of people in Denver agreed with that.

There's a flip side, but it's coming from other cities where there seems to be more interest in having Amazon.

The Business Journals found that cities like Indianapolis and Nashville are willing to put their own money on the line through higher taxes to get Amazon.

A little more than 7,000 people from the remaining 20 cities that are in the running were surveyed through the online poll.

Denver7 viewers have already been voicing their opinions online.

"I have friends in the Seattle area saying our $400K housing averages would go to $700K if HQ2 came here," Jennifer Kindred wrote on Facebook. "Those same friends think we are at the head of the pack of options too. No thanks."

Andy Szekeres wrote, "While it would be a good addition to the job market, our economy is already benefiting from Amazon with being a distribution hub. The negative impacts on our already strained infrastructure and increased housing prices are not with the benefit."
