DENVER – A Denver “superhero” who goes by the name Colorado Captain is heading out on his second annual road trip to raise money for kids fighting cancer.

Matt Gnojek is the man behind the mask. He’s an actor who spends his days dressed up like Captain America, riding around town on a custom Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

This week, he and his motorcycle will embark on a three-month, 5,000-mile journey across the United States that will take him to more than a dozen states, visiting children’s hospitals, refugee centers, conventions and more along the way.

Gnojek hopes to raise $10,000 for charity with the cross-country ride, which he’s paying for with his own money. Money raised on the trip will go to two organizations: Cap for Kids and International Rescue Committee.
