COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A team of college entrepreneurs from the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs is getting a big boost for their new company.

The students won $10,000 in the Schulze Entrepreneurship Challenge competition. The winnings will help them get their app, called U-Wash, off the ground.

U-Wash allows college students to drop their laundry off at a secure locker and have it washed, dried and folded before being returned to that same locker for pickup by another college students. It helps those who don’t have the time to wash their clothes and those who need a little extra cash.

The Air Force Academy made it into the list of top 25 finalists, and ultimately finished fifth.
