1. Fires continue burning across Colorado
Firefighters continue to fight numerous wildfires burning across the state. The largest of the fires, the Spring Fire in Costilla County, was more than 53,000 acres as of Sunday night and was only 5 percent contained.
2. Busy day at Denver International Airport
Forget Thanksgiving and Christmas -- summer actually sees some of the busiest days at DIA. Friday was estimated to be one of the busiest days of the year with about 202,000 travelers passing through and officials said they expected another 188,000 today as people travel for the 4th of July holiday.
3. Children injured in Idaho stabbing
Nine people, including several children, were hurt when a man armed with a knife attacked a 3-year-old's birthday party at an Idaho apartment complex. Police said the suspect was staying with a resident of the complex but had been asked to leave the day before.
4. LeBron heading to LA
NBA star LeBron James will sign a four-year, $154 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. James officially became a free agent on Sunday after four years playing for the Cleveland Cavs.
5. More hot weather ahead
Temperatures will climb back into the 90s through the 4th of July holiday and remain there for most of next week. The mountains will see highs in the 80s.
