AURORA, Colo. -- One man was killed and three others were wounded after a shooting early Sunday morning, according to the Aurora Police Department.

Sergeant Chris Neiman said an apparent fight inside of the nearby Kasbah Nightclub spilled out into the Highline Plaza lot and ended in gunfire.

"Everybody pulls their guns and start shooting anymore, it's sad. It's sad," Rod Seeba said. Seeba lived in the area for two years. He said, "It's surprising, but you know it happens every day everywhere now."

Denver7 connected with Joseph Rivera, an employee at nearby Tacos Selene.

"Nobody deserves to go through anything like this. Especially if we're just out here trying to have fun or whatever the case may be," Rivera said.

The business is also located within Highline Plaza. The parking lot on Sunday morning was a crime scene, littered with evidence markers.

"This doesn't happen at all, it's been a real good neighborhood," Rivera said. "Everybody's real nice, all the businesses get along. We all help each other out.

"It's supposed to be a fun weekend, where we're vacationing and everything," he said.

APD said the department has responded to incidents at the nightclub in the past, but nothing similar to Sunday morning's shooting.

Investigators say the shooting was reported at 2:10 a.m. in the area of E. 6th Avenue and N. Helena Street.

When officers arrived they found four men shot. All four were taken to a hospital where one of the men later died.

The case is in its early stages and the Aurora Police Major Crimes Unit is actively investigating the incident, police said.

There have been no arrests and police are still looking into a motive.

If you know anything about the shooting you're asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867.
