CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. – A semi fire involving an ice cream truck closed down eastbound lanes and much of the westbound lanes of I-70 near Georgetown Thursday afternoon. The eastbound lanes were later reopened.
The fire was first reported just before 5 p.m. One of the westbound lanes was opened up at 5, but traffic was moving slowly, according to Colorado State Patrol.
There is no estimated time the road will open. Drivers should expect heavy backups, especially if headed to the mountains from Denver.
