DENVER – As Denver witnesses a flurry of construction citywide, new high-rise buildings downtown promise to transform the Mile High City’s skyline.
A lot has changed in recent years but one thing hasn’t: the height of the tallest building. Republic Plaza, completed in 1984, has claimed the title of tallest building in Denver for more than 30 years.
The most recent addition to the list of tallest buildings is the Four Seasons, which was completed in 2010.

One building that’s already had a noticeable effect on Denver’s skyline is 1144 Fifteenth, which is currently under construction. The building is expected to be just over 600 feet (40 stories) tall when it’s finished next year, which would make it the fifth tallest building in the city.
A proposed condo development at 19th and Arapahoe would include two 40-story towers and though the final height isn’t clear, they would likely end up in the top 10 as well.
