LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — The second suspect allegedly involved in a Larimer County homicide from Jan. 27 has been taken into custody.
The incident started on Jan. 27, when the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office communications center received a report of a person who was injured along the 200 block of Link Lane in Fort Collins. When deputies arrived, they found a deceased male outside. On Jan. 31, the person was identified as 38-year-old Timothy Bryant of Fort Collins. His death was ruled as a homicide.
The following day, investigators arrested Nicole Lenae Gibson, 40, of Laramie, Wyoming in connection to the homicide. She was booked into jail on allegations of first-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence. Investigators then secured a first-degree arrest warrant for a second suspect.
On Tuesday, investigators with the Larimer County Sheriff's Office learned that the second suspect, whose name is Efren Almeida, 34, was around US 85 and 39th Street in Evans. With the help of the Evans Police Department and Weld County Regional SWAT team, Almeida was arrested at 11:39 p.m. that day. Investigators found his vehicle at the same location.
He was brought to the Larimer County Jail and booked on a Larimer County warrant for first-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence.
