Second man shot Friday evening in Greeley dies, police say

GREELEY, Colo. – The second man shot Friday evening in Greeley died overnight at an area hospital and no suspects were in custody as of Saturday afternoon, police said.

The shooting happened around 5:15 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of 12th Street and left one man dead at the scene and another man in a hospital with serious injuries. The second man died early Saturday morning, police said.

Both men have since been identified as adults, though their identities have not been released.

Police said Friday the shooting appeared to have happened after some sort of disturbance, though they did not elaborate and said the motive and details of the shooting were unclear.

The police department said Saturday that the investigation was ongoing and that there was no one in custody related to the shooting.
