STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — A search is continuing for a 38-year-old man who went missing from a Colorado mountain town last week.
The Steamboat Pilot and Today reports the search area to find Matthew Shelters has expanded beyond Steamboat Springs to include surrounding towns.
Family members say Shelters was last seen leaving a Steamboat Springs restaurant on foot shortly after midnight on April 24. He was reported to police as missing later that week.
Members of the Steamboat Springs water rescue team searched sections of the Yampa River on Tuesday, finding no signs of Shelters.
Police say no evidence has been found to indicate that a crime has occurred.
Authorities ask that anyone with information about Shelters' disappearance to contact Steamboat Springs police.
