Authorities are offering $7,000 to anyone with information about shots that were fired in the direction of two Aurora police officers hours after an anonymous threat to law enforcement.
The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering $5,000 and Metro Denver Crime Stoppers another $2,000 to anyone with information that can lead to an arrest.
On Sunday afternoon, a person called 911 in Aurora saying "we are about to start striking fear by shooting down all cops" and specifically mentioned Aurora and Denver.
About four hours later police say two Aurora officers were responding to a call when they heard what sounded like gunshots.
No one was hurt.
Despite the call, Aurora police say they don't believe the threat and the shots fired at police are connected.
