DENVER – The dog that escaped a Denver-area home Friday – at one point dodging traffic on a Westminster highway, as we nervously watched – has been reunited with its owner. And now we know the pup's name, too.
"Snoopy" was spotted on Denver7 by his owner, who called the station and got connected with Steven Daniels and Anh Nguyen, who found the dog safe and sound Friday after his adventurous morning.
The owner, who did not want to be identified, said Snoopy ran out of her house Friday morning and she spent the rest of the day looking for him. Then she turned on the TV Saturday morning and saw the dog on the morning news.
The woman had proof of ownership for the dog, including photos and a collar, and Daniels and Nguyen said Snoopy responded to his name when the owner arrived. What started out as a harrowing journey for Snoopy now has a happy ending.
