FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Rescue crews are currently working to help a hiker who fell off a trail near Horsetooth Falls in Horsetooth Mountain Open Space.
According to Poudre Fire Authority, crews were able to contact the hiker about half a mile from a parking lot and as of 11:50 a.m., were working on a rope rescue. The hiker was 20 feet off the trail.
Poudre Fire said the patient is conscious but needs help down the trail.
Once off the trail, the person will be transported to a hospital via helicopter, which has already arrived at the scene, Poudre Fire said.
