ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — Officials in Arapahoe County have arrested a registered sex offender after he allegedly assaulted two girls in a pool.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said Aaron Jason Schupp, 26, was arrested Thursday in connection to the crime. He’s accused of asking two 12-year-old girls to play and then sexually assaulting them at a pool in a Centennial apartment complex near S. University Boulevard and E. County Line Road, said Deborah Sherman with the sheriff’s office.

Schupp is a registered sex offender in Jefferson County. He was put on the registry in 2012 after he was convicted of assaulting a child, according to court documents.

Because of his background, the sheriff’s office is concerned there may be other victims.

He is being held without bond on two felony counts of sexual assault on a child.
