DENVER – Two Colorado volunteers with the American Red Cross are heading to Santa Fe, Texas to help with the response to last week’s shooting at Santa Fe High School.
The two volunteers, one of whom is a licensed mental health professional, will offer casework support and emotional support to people affected by the shooting, the Red Cross said.
Ten people were killed and 10 others injured when a 17-year-old gunman opened fire at the school on Friday morning.
A suspect was taken into custody and has been cooperating with police.
