LITTLETON, Colo. - It's becoming a common scene this time of year. A video released Tuesday shows a porch pirate caught in the act.
A Littleton homeowner shared the video of a thief stealing a package from their porch near West Belleview Avenue and South Kipling Street Tuesday morning.
The video shows a woman pulling right into the driveway, casually walk up to the front door and then walk away with the Amazon delivery. The package contained art supplies for a 3-year-old girl.
The homeowner filed a police report and is hopeful someone might recognize the thief or her car, a gray Nissan sedan with no visible front license plate.
To protect yourself from porch pirates, experts suggest insuring expensive packages or having them delivered to secure locations like a workplace or a local drop off location.
Amazon also has three secure lockers set up across the metro area where people can drop off and pick up packages.
