Police chase ends after crash on Boulder Turnpike

WESTMINSTER, Colo. — Traffic troubles were abound Monday morning on the Boulder Turnpike as police engaged in a chase across city lines. 

Police say a burglary investigation just before 8 a.m. led police to attempt a traffic stop on a suspect's SUV. That's when they say the driver took off. 

Amid the following chase, Thornton police say the suspect's vehicle crashed with a bystander, but the chase continued onto the U.S. 36.

Westminster police continued the chase on the highway, eventually stopping the suspects. 

Investigation is ongoing and police have yet to give additional details.
