At 11 a.m., the man robbed a Wells Fargo Bank at 400 S. Colorado Blvd., according to the Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force, which includes the FBI, Denver Police Department and other local police agencies.

The robber is described as a black man who is about 5-feet-8-inches tall with a muscular build and a goatee. During the Wells Fargo robbery, he also wore a gray T-shirt with a "Superbowl 38" logo, dark pants and sunglasses.

At 3 p.m., investigators the robber hit a U.S. Bank -- about four blocks north -- at 730 N. Colorado Blvd. In that robbery, the suspect wore a white tank top, which possibly had a Denver Nuggets basketball team logo, and dark pants.
