DENVER -- Wintry weather has arrived.

An early-season snowstorm swooped into Colorado late Sunday and into Monday, bringing the season's first measurable snowfall for metro Denver and the surrounding areas.

The snowstorm didn't create any immediate problems Monday morning, but there were some reports of downed power lines. Many trees still have their leaves and the heavy, wet snow has the potential to bring down branches around the city.
