WELD COUNTY, Colo. -- The Colorado State Patrol was looking for two vehicles suspected of hitting a pedestrian who died east of Evans early Saturday.
Troopers said the person was struck between 4:00 to 4:20 a.m. Saturday at 20459 Weld County Road 54, which is also listed as East 37th Street.
Troopers were called to the scene shortly before 5 a.m.
Based on the vehicle parts and other evidence left at the scene investigators believe two different vehicles struck the pedestrian, Trooper Gary Cutler told Denver7.
One of the vehicles is believed to be at 1999-2000 purple Honda Accord and may have damage to the driver side mirror.
