October Arc Ambassador Seth Weshnak loves Halloween

Posted

DENVER — All year, Denver7 has been celebrating 50 years of Arc Thrift Stores in Denver by honoring some of the employees who make the mission possible.

Arc Ambassadors are employees with disabilities who participate in special programs while working in Arc stores.

Seth Weshnak is our featured ambassador for October. Weshnak has worked at the JCRS Arc store at 6791 W. Colfax Ave. for over six years.

"A typical day is working on the register, helping the customers," Weshnak said. His favorite day to work is Saturday.

"It's our busiest day of the week. I normally have 100 to 150 people at my register on a normal Saturday," he said.

Weshnak enjoys participating in the Arc Ambassador program because it allows him to spend time with his coworkers outside of the store.

"We’ve been to the zoo, the movies, the Governor’s mansion," Weshnak explained.

His store manager says Seth is an amazing young man.

"Seth has kind of changed our lives here at the JCRS store," Scott Jeffers said. He says Seth has become more like a family member than an employee.

Weshnak invites everyone to come shop at the JCRS store, especially during the holiday season. The store is currently filled with Halloween decorations and costumes.

"I want people to shop at all Arc stores but especially here because the more people that shop here the more fun it is for me."
