DENVER -- The National Western Stock Show set an attendance record on Sunday.
Officials said 42,661 fans visited the grounds and/or saw a show on Sunday, which was the final day of the 2017 show.
“We are thrilled with the number of guests that came out to help us celebrate,” said Paul Andrews, President & CEO of the National Western Stock Show.
Overall attendance at the 2017 show was 684,580. That's the third largest crowd to attend the stock show.
Money from the stock show funds the National Western Scholarship Trust which helps students in Colorado and Wyoming studying agriculture and rural medicine.
