COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – A crash involving several vehicles shut down all lanes of I-270 Wednesday morning.
Commerce City police said the collision occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-270 at Quebec.
Five vehicles were involved, according to Denver police -- two semi trucks and three cars.
Police said one person was taken to the hospital with potentially critical injuries.
All lanes of the interstate were closed between Vasquez and I-70. As of 8:15 a.m., the westbound lanes were open and the eastbound lanes were back open shortly after 9 a.m.
Several other crashes along I-70 also were contributing to backups during the morning commute.
