Mile High lovin': Denver named 3rd best metro area for dating

DENVER - Love is in the (thin) air in Denver.

The Mile High City ranked third on a new list of the best metro areas for dating. 

The list was compiled by rental listing site ApartmentList, which asked thousands of its users to rank their satisfaction with their city's dating scene.

In the Denver area, just over 58 percent of renters reported being satisfied with dating opportunities. Women reported a higher rate of satisfaction at nearly 61 percent compared to men's 51 percent. People with college degrees also reported being more satisfied than those without, according to ApartmentList.

Madison, Wisconsin landed at the top of the list with a satisfaction rating of 63 percent.

3.    Denver, CO
4.    Austin, TX
5.    Raleigh, NC
6.    Washington, DC
7.    Charlotte, NC
8.    Rochester, NY
9.    Durham, NC
10.    Palm Bay, FL

The title of "worst" metro area for dating went to Syracuse, New York, followed by Bridgeport, Connecticut and New Haven, Connecticut.
