LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — The Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued a Medina Alert for a Toyota RAV4 that was involved in a fatal crash with a cyclist Wednesday evening.
Colorado State Patrol said on Wednesday at 7:27 a.m., it responded to a call about a fatal hit and run near the 2200 block of N. Shields Street, about half a mile south of Highway 287 in Larimer County.
A man was found deceased with a bicycle nearby.
There were no cars in the area when CSP arrived, but investigators found what they believe are parts of a gray 2009 or 2010 Toyota RAV4, CSP said.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation said they believed the crash happened between 10 p.m. and midnight. CSP said they think it happened between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday.
CSP is asking the public to keep an eye out for this kind of vehicle with front-end damage, particularly the right bumper and windshield.
As of Monday, authorities had not located the car.
