DENVER – A man was struck and killed by an RTD bus in northeast Denver Tuesday night, the Denver Police Department said in a tweet.
The deadly crash happened near the intersection of Green Valley Ranch Boulevard and N. Chambers Road. It was reported by police at 8:48 p.m.
Investigators said the man was declared dead at the scene.
On Wednesday, the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner identified the man as 24-year-old Mark Wray Jr. His cause of death was determined to be from blunt force injuries.
Police told Denver7 they believed Wray Jr. was on the sidewalk and fell in front of the bus, adding they don't expect to issue any citations or charges for the RTD bus driver.
The fatal crash remains under investigation.
