NORTHGLENN, Colo. — A 38-year-old man was formally charged Monday in connection to the death of his grandfather.
Reynold Richards was charged with first-degree murder after deliberation, first-degree felony murder and aggravated robbery, according to 17th Judicial District Attorney Dave Young.
On July 9, Northglenn police responded to a 911 call and found 79-year-old Arthur Ventura lying in a pool of blood in a bedroom of his home on the 11400 block of Emerson Street, police said. He had been stabbed multiple times. He was dead when authorities arrived on scene.
A preliminary hearing has been set for Aug. 10 at 9 a.m.
