1. Macron denies Trump claims
French President Emmanuel Macron is denying U.S. President Donald Trump's claims that NATO powers agreed to boost their defense spending. The disagreement comes shortly after Trump accused Germany of being a "captive" of Russia.
2. DIA Great Hall project gets underway
Phase one of a major project to overhaul the main terminal at Denver International Airport is underway. The project will move the TSA security screening area out of the center area of the terminal, among other changes.
3. Social marijuana task force meets
A task force will meet today to discuss how Denver's social cannabis consumption initiative is working out so far and what might need to change. The task force also will be discussing marijuana tourism.
4. Fishing restrictions in place on Yampa River
Low water levels and high temperatures have Colorado Parks and Wildlife asking the public not to fish on part of the Yampa River. The affected area is between the Chuck Lewis State Wildlife Area and the western edge of Steamboat Springs.
5. First Alert Action Day
Today we'll see a break from the heat. There will also be a better chance of afternoon storms and showers across the plains both today and Friday. Locally heavy rain will be possible on in the mountains Thursday. Heavy rain is also possible in Denver and the Front Range for Thursday and Friday afternoons.
