LONGMONT, Colo. — Police have found a missing 13-year-old girl safe in southwest Nebraska.
Authorities said Ryan Ehlen was in the company of 20-year-old Wyatt Leonard, who is now being held in the Keith County Sheriff's office in Ogallala.
Police were concerned the missing girl may be in danger and were asking the public for help. She left her house in the 2200 block of 14th Avenue at some point overnight Sunday.
According to a release from the Longmont Police Department, Leonard was contacted by his family Monday. Family members reported hearing a female voice, believed to be Ryan, in the background saying not to return to Longmont.
Early Tuesday, Ryan was found in Southwest Nebraska, according to Sgt. Matt Cage with the Longmont Police Department.
Leonard was being held for suspicion of kidnapping and harboring a minor.
