Live Colorado traffic, weather and flight updates as snowstorm moves east of Denver metro

This is the Denver7 breaking and developing weather news blog. This story will be updated with both minor and large breaking news events as a snowstorm moves through the Denver metro area. Check back as we continue to update this story.

1:24 p.m.: I-70, US 24 and US 385 south are all shut down from Burlington east to US 385 south due to blizzard conditions in Kansas, CSP Limon officials say.

1:08 p.m.: Denver's storm total of 8.3 inches brings the monthly total up to 13.4 inches (normal February average is 5.7 inches), the National Weather Service in Boulder says. The seasonal accumulation so far is 27.8 inches (normal accumulation by the end of February is 35.2 inches).

9:50 a.m.: The Denver Police Department asks that you keep in contact with friends and family today as crews work to remove snow citywide.

9:04 a.m.: While conditions have improved at Wolf Creek Pass, CSP troopers are still warning drivers that roads remain snowpacked.

7:59 a.m.: There's a full closure of I-25 between near the southern Colorado-New Mexico border, according to CDO due to blowing snow, icy roads, poor visibility and fog.

7:49 a.m.: Troopers continue to warn drivers about driving conditions in eastern Colorado.

7:44 a.m.: The Denver Police department reports there have been 35 crashes so far this morning following last night's snowstorm.

7:40 a.m.: Colorado 70 between Limon and Arriba reports limited visibility and poor driving conditions Saturday morning, according to CSP Limon officials.

7:27 a.m.: Jefferson County officials warn the public to use caution if driving this morning as roads are still slick and snow-covered.

11:30 p.m.: WB I-70 to SB I-225 is shut down due to multiple stranded vehicles, the Aurora Police Department says. The same is true for the WB I-70 ti SB I-225 flyover and the WB on-ramp to I-70 from Chambers Road.

9:39 p.m.: Denver7 anchor and reporter Jessica Porter says 6th Ave. "isn't plowed but traffic is moving fine." The snow has calmed down a bit.

9:23 p.m.: A total of 49 flights have been canceled at DIA and 595 others have been delayed due to weather conditions, a DIA spokeswoman tells Denver7. The FAA has also imposed a hold on incoming flights to Denver. It's unclear how long the hold will last. Departing flights at DIA are being delayed at an average of 1 hour and 28 minutes, according to Flight Aware.
