SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. – Skiers and snowboarders will have three more Colorado resorts to go ski and ride starting Wednesday, when Keystone, Breckenridge and Eldora are set to open for the season.
Both Keystone and Breckenridge had been scheduled to open Friday but pushed their opening days to Wednesday after getting up to four feet of snow in parts of the resorts over the past week.
Eldora is also opening early after 3+ feet of snow over the past month. The Alpenglow lift will start running at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Breckenridge Vice President and COO John Buhler said it was the first time in nearly 10 years either resort opened early. The resorts will follow Wolf Creek, Arapahoe Basin and Loveland in opening. Those three resorts opened in October.
Breckenridge will be running the Colorado SuperChair and Rip’s Ride, along with the BreckConnect Gondola.
Keystone’s Schoolmarm and Silver Spoon trails will be open starting Wednesday, and North Peak is set to open Friday.
All three resorts have special food and entertainment options both Wednesday and Friday as well.
