DENVER – Thousands of people are expected to converge on Denver’s City Park in June for a run/walk devoted to raising awareness about ovarian cancer.
Jodi’s Race for Awareness, now in its 9th year, will take place on Saturday, June 9. The race includes a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile “family” walk and benefits the Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance.
The race was founded in 2010 by ovarian cancer survivor Jodi Brammeier, who believed that she would have learned about her cancer sooner had she been more knowledgeable about the symptoms.
Denver7’s Theresa Marchetta will serve as emcee for the festivities.
