GOLDEN, Colo. — An inmate who was in prison on charges related to escaping from prison was declared missing from the Colorado Correctional Center early Thursday but was caught later in the morning.
While counting inmates around 12:45 a.m., authorities could not find Sean C. Hanneman, 49.
Local law enforcement were notified and a search began. He was re-captured shortly before 9 a.m. by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies.
Hanneman was currently serving time at Colorado Correctional Center, which also goes by Camp West George, for forgery out of Douglas County and two separate escape charges out of Arapahoe County.
This incident is under investigation by the Office of the Inspector General and local law enforcement.
Hanneman's next parole hearing was set for September. His estimated mandatory release date was March 6, 2020.
He is 6 feet tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
