AURORA, Colo. – A woman wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in Centennial last week has been taken into custody following a high-speed chase that ended in Aurora.
Jacqueline Lucero, 34, was taken into custody at a Shell gas station at East Alameda Avenue and South Potomac Way shortly after 10 a.m. Monday.
Investigators said Lucero shot and killed Adolph Arellano, 30, on Monday, Oct. 30. Arellano was found in a parking lot in the 400 block of East Highline Circle around 5 p.m. and rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Deputies have not revealed any possible motive for the shooting. However, they don’t believe it was random.
