BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. — Rescue teams are continuing their search around Nederland for a 27-year-old hiker who has been missing since Wednesday.
On Wednesday at 6:18 p.m., the Boulder County Communications Center learned that Josh Hall, 27, was overdue from a hiking trip in the Nederland area.
Hall, who is from Arvada, left for a hike around 9:30 a.m. from the Hessie Trailhead with his dog, according to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities found his vehicle at the trailhead but as of Saturday, haven't found him or his dog.
His cell phone pinged around noon up on the Continental Divide, the sheriff's office said.
Rescuers on skis, snowshoes and snowmobiles have searched for the missing man. Five teams worked through the night Wednesday into Thursday, but high winds created difficulties for the search teams. Heavy winter conditions continued Thursday evening and Friday evening.
Investigators believe he was wearing a green khaki jacket, dark hat or a gray or green backpack. Anyone who comes across any of these items is asked to contact Boulder County Dispatch.
