JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — A fiery, head-on crash involving a semi-truck and two passenger vehicles led to one death on Highway 93 south of Highway 72.
The crash was reported at 7:35 a.m., according to Colorado State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis.
A 2008 Kenworth semi-truck with a trailer, a 2009 Volvo SUV and a 2008 Volvo were involved in a crash. One person in the SUV was killed. No other injuries were reported.
The semi-truck caught fire as a result of the crash.
Both directions of Highway 93 were closed between Highway 72 and Indian Head Road for about seven hours.
No further details were immediately available.
